To visit the Amazon means to try the magic and the mystery of a Region that has the largest River (Amazon) and the biggest Tropical Forest of the world. It is considered the most important ecological sanctuary of the planet, with its countless and important wild species (fauna and flora).

The transportation to reach the Lodge will be traveling three hours by road in a comfortable air-conditioned bus/van. The rest of the trip (one hour more) is made on a powerboat down the "Urubú" River, one of the so many tributaries of the Amazonas River.

The tourist will enjoy the beautiful landscape, watching the rustic and isolated small houses of the "caboclos" at the river's margins.

From one point ahead, the river starts to become progressively larger, emptying in the "Canaçari" Lake, where is located the Silves island (350 kilometers far from Manaus, capital of the State of Amazonas).

This island used to be the former refuge of the "Guanavenas" Indian tribe, who disappeared during the XVII century, and to whom the name of the lodge makes homage.

Guanavenas Jungle Lodge is located in the heart of the Amazon, a lake, igarapés, surround it and is inside the jungle.

The Guanavenas Pousada Jungle Lodge, founded in 1980 and located in the heart of the Amazon Region, has all the facilities and comfort of a first class hotel, but with one difference – it is inside the jungle.

The Guanavenas Pousada Jungle Lodge has 70 (seventy) triple rooms with exactly the same level of comfort: all of them have air-conditioning, private bathroom with electric shower, mini refrigerator and private veranda.

The lodge offers also restaurant which serves delicious regional meals (self-service), 2 (two) swimming pools, game’s room, leisure grass camp and an observation tower with 30 (thirty) meters high.

For communication with the rest of the world, the Lodge has long-distance call telephone / fax.

For safety procedures, maximum luggage allowance on boat is one backpack per person and main luggage should be stored in hotel in Manaus.
